Angela Lansbury in Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Before Murder, She Wrote, Angela Lansbury starred in the hit Walt Disney feature film, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, in which she played a friendly witch, just as Elizabeth Montgomery had done so on Bewitched, in which Ron Masak made two guest star appearances, while William Windom had worked with Montgomery in a pre-Bewitched TV show. All of that, and more, is explained in Herbie J's books, Twitch Upon a Star and The Essential Elizabeth Montgomery.
